The Warning is a rock band from Monterrey, and formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela (lead vocals and guitar), Paulina (drums, vocals and piano) and Alejandra (bass, piano and backing vocals).
With participation in major festivals and musical tours throughout Latin America, North America and Europe, plus the recognition of famous musicians such as Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Matt Bellamy (Muse) or David Draiman (Disturbed), the group has consolidated a career with international projection.
The Warning's sound has been strongly influenced by the so-called classic rock of bands like Queen, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd or AC/DC, and singer-songwriters like Elton John or Billy Joel. They also appreciate the repertoire of current bands like Muse, The Killers, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Paramore or Foo Fighters.
But beyond everything, in various interviews they recognize that theirs is an Alternative and eclectic Rock that escapes classifications, seeks to experiment and does not intend to limit itself to a single musical genre. They even admit that their style is fed by sources as diverse as music. selecta, k-pop or Japanese rock.
